I like to think of myself as an all-round angler. I am fond of catching all species from wide variation of waters. From small ponds and little canals to huge in land seas on the continent.
I have enjoyed catching decent chub, perch and barbel over the years. However, carp have always grabbed my attention. From their distinctive characteristics and stories depicted through their battle scars, their amazing scale patterns and elusive nature. Big carp never fail to surprise me. I’ve tried very hard to catch a glimpse at what will emerge from the depths.
In the colder months when the carp slow down, the pike draw me in and I’m proud to say I’ve had a few monsters along the way….
Having worked as a fishing guide, photographer and videographer for various angling companies. I have been lucky enough to travel to many mysterious and scenic waters across Europe and North Africa. Most impressionable being Bin el Ouidane in Morocco and the sparkling waters of Orellana In Spain.
I am now the proud owner of Stickney Brick Pit fishery. I have lovingly and painstakingly chosen carp for their unique distinction. They range in size to nearly 40lb.
As well as maintaining the lake to support the natural biodiversity to promote healthy happy fish; which in turn creates happy anglers, I also spend my time working on a fish farm which specializes in delivering fish across the UK, electro- fishing and netting.
