Pulled out into some rather difficult water with a lot of obstacles, fallen trees, loose branches and a deep soft silt layer in some parts with depths from 1.5m to 2.80m. Before I entered the tent I had turned my Mozzi-Zappa on. In these conditions, rain, high temperatures and on the water side there are a lot of mosquitos. A half hour later I visited my bed, all the flying objects were fried in the Zappa 👍💪. After a quiet night the 1st bite came in the morning. The HUBB sounded off in my bivvy. After a little fight on my X3K rod it went into the net. A grassy, there are a lot of them and it is difficult to avoid them. Since the crayfish are also active, it has been decided to feed mainly with tiger nuts and 20mm boilies!

Another bream followed during the day. It is known to me that they mainly feed on this water at night and early morning.

The second real run followed at 0:00 AM. The Qi alarm did its job, this fish gave significantly more resistance than the grassy and did not give up easily. But the X3K rod is absolutely strong and really nice rod and after a while the fish gave up. This cool old common of +/- 15 kg gave me a broad smile from ear to ear, this is what it’s about.

The rest of the night it was quiet until 7 am the 3rd run came. Some little beeps came out of the Qi, when I stood up the alarm goes full pelt. This one also gave quite a fight, until it came swimming towards me. Yes, another grassy. They are not my favourite but with an average length of over a meter and a weight of around 14kg not bad!

On the way back I suddenly realised that I hadn’t had a mirror on the bank over the weekend 😜, I dropped my X3K rod on the windy corner on a water nearby. Within an hour the Qi yelled off and ta-daaaa! not big but a pearl of a mirror 😊.

Fishing was done on the soft bottom with a snowman 20mm fruity kriller and a 15mm pink sweet pop-up on top and on the hard bottom with 2 tiger nuts with fake corn on top. The spots were baited with tiger nuts and 20 mm fruity krillers. 👍💪

Until the next session 👍💪🐺🎣
