I have been specifically targeting carp for roughly the last 15 years and live in Hull, East Yorkshire. The majority of my fishing revolves around work overnighters as I very rarely get to fish weekends and my time is also limited through the summer months, therefore spring and winter are where I really hit my waters hard. I will usually fish for bites and set small traps and therefore for me, the size of the carp is irrelevant especially fishing in and around East Yorkshire its more about finding the hidden gems and some old original English carp with character and a bit of history. I am currently targeting a couple of local syndicates with some really old dark characters and look forward to hopefully sharing some capture photos with you all in the near future. My main approach to fishing is pre-baiting, getting down to the lake after work most days and keeping the bait trickling in on my spots when I’m not fishing definitely helps with my limited time on the bank fishing short sessions
