Having been an angler for over 40 years I’ve seen and made a lot of changes during those years. Starting out as a young coarse & match angler I then chose to hone my skills into catching Carp. Carp have now been my number one quarry for almost 25 years now with only the big perch distracting me during the winter months. Gone are the days of sitting in a frozen bivvy in December. I’ll leave that now to the enthusiastic youth and the crazy older anglers out there.  

I’ve always been one for if I see a Carp I love the look of I’ll fish for it, regardless of its weight. That’s where I’m at right now, chasing some of the finest carp in the UK with some of the finest anglers in the UK. 

My definition of the finest angler isn’t one that has caught the biggest fish or catches the most, it’s about the angler that enjoys and cherishes his time in solitude and in company whilst chasing our quarry.
