I’m a 40 year old angler from a small town in the heart of the West Midlands countryside.

Fishing, you could say is in my blood as my Grandad Fred was a very keen angler, to the point where he made his own rods, some cane some out of WW2 tank aerials and he loved to fish for Pike on the Avon.

My angling journey started, like most as a young boy casting in to pools and watching the stick float drift away as a unsuspecting Roach or Perch had fallen into my trap, it was then my passion was born.

Living not to far from the mighty River Severn I moved on to slightly bigger species at around 11 catching small Pike, Zander and Chub to my hearts content.

Not long after I discovered a pool with Carp in and since that day I have never looked back.

I’m not what you would call a big fish angler and old UK carp is definitely my strongest obsession, I love fishing small intimate waters for characterful or immaculate carp regardless of size, I will however visit some different venues a few times a year on the hunt for one or two of those elusive chunks.
