My name is Dan Chappell and I’m 29 years old and have been carp fishing for around 15 years. I first got into fishing with my grandad fishing for perch, small silvers and small carp. And also dabbling in fly fishing for trout as that was his chosen species.
My carp fishing has taken me all over the country over the years but I am lucky to have some of the best carp fishing on my doorstep. Fishing lakes such as Wasing, Dinton, and the famous Wraysbury. I cut my teeth fishing the renowned tough Burghfield lake when I was 15. The sort of lake that will make or break you. And that’s where my love for old carp and big pits first started. Majority of my fishing these days is quick in and out fishing turning up after dark. But there’s nothing better for me than turning up when everyone else is sleeping and finding the carp.
I have caught multiple carp to well over 40lb and although its nice catching big carp for me that’s irrelevant. Its all about the looks, age and story behind the carp that I chase.
I am very much looking forward to the journey with Wolf as the future is very bright that’s for sure.
